Barry Sommer

Barry Sommer is an experienced Licensed Educational Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist with over forty years as the owner of a private practice in psychology, focusing on personal and organizational development. As an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, Barry teaches advanced graduate courses in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. Barry serves as the Director of Advancement for Lindsay Unified School District, contributing to the transformation of public education through a Performance Based Model. In addition, Barry instructs graduate-level classes at the Tulare County Office of Education and co-founded MBT, Inc., where Barry was a Director until 2017. Educational qualifications include a BS in Human Development from Cornell University and an MEd in School Psychology from Queens College.
