Kelly M. Vernon

Kelly Vernon currently serves as Chief Probation Officer at the Tulare County Probation Department since March 2023. Prior to this role, Kelly Vernon held the position of Deputy Chief Probation Officer at the Kings County Probation Department from July 1992, overseeing all juvenile services and previously managing juvenile institutions. In the Kings County role, responsibilities included providing leadership, strategic planning, and policy development for an agency with over 120 personnel. Kelly Vernon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology-Corrections from California State University, Fresno, between 1986 and 1991.
