Rony Kubat is the Co-Founder and CTO of Tulip, a company that is changing the way manufacturers think about consumer electronics, footwear, robotics, pharmaceuticals, and countless other products that you use everyday. Prior to Tulip, Rony was a research affiliate and postdoctoral associate at MIT Media Lab where they focused on novel user interfaces at the Fluid Interfaces research group. Rony also spent six years as a doctoral student at MIT where their research focused on computational models of human behavior in public spaces. During their time at MIT, Rony was the software lead for TotalRecall, a tool to browse and annotate a petabyte of raw audio and video data, the mechanical lead for Playlamp, a diagnostic tool for autism, and the programmer for Trisk, Cognitive Machines’ platform for language grounding research.
Rony Kubat attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for their PhD in Computer Science from 2008 to 2012. Rony also attended MIT for their undergraduate and master's degrees in Computer Science from 2005 to 2008 and 1996 to 2001, respectively. In addition, they also attended MIT for their undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1996 to 2001. Finally, they attended Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School from 1991 to 1996.
Rony Kubat is the co-founder and CTO of a startup company. Theirteam includes a CFO, a chief of staff, and a head of operations. The team's chief scientist is Roy Shilkrot.
