Mike O'Neill

Mike O'Neill has extensive work experience in the field of business intelligence and finance. Mike started their career as a Business Analyst at Centrica in 2003, where they were responsible for providing group requirements for financial reporting. Mike later worked as a Financial Reporting Accountant and Energy Margin Analyst at Centrica, focusing on revenue forecasting and improving controls over the margin forecasting process. In 2010, they joined easyJet as a Finance Systems Accountant, supporting the development of IBM Cognos TM1 Contributor planning system and migrating models from Cognos Enterprise Planning. Since 2011, Mike has worked at Tullow Oil in various roles, including TM1 Developer, Lead TM1 Developer, and Technical Lead - Business Intelligence, where they were responsible for the implementation of TM1 models. Throughout their career, Mike has gained expertise in TM1 development, building dimensions and cubes, creating turbo integrator processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Prior to their roles in business intelligence, Mike worked as a Financial Analyst at Shell from 2001 to 2002.

Mike O'Neill attended the University of Brighton from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a degree in Business Studies with a focus on Financial & Capital Markets, Business Strategy, and Statistics. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including Learning SAP Analytics Cloud from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy and LinkedIn, SQL Essential Training from LinkedIn, and several certifications related to IBM Planning Analytics. Mike also completed an Introduction to Statistics and Data Science course from SAP in 2019.
