Michael Dekker

Michael Dekker has extensive experience in journalism, currently serving as the Assistant City Editor and State Editor at Tulsa World since November 2002. In this role, Michael supervises a team responsible for reporting on Tulsa's suburbs and the surrounding counties in Northeast Oklahoma, while also managing breaking news updates on the Tulsa World's website. Prior to this position, Michael was the City Editor at Norman Transcript from March 2000 to July 2002. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and History from the University of Oklahoma, where studies were completed between 1987 and 1989.
