Thor Bakke

Thor Bakke has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Thor began their career at Sandia National Laboratories as a Research Engineer from July 1998 to December 2001. After that, they joined Fraunhofer IPMS as a Research Scientist and Group Manager from January 2002 to December 2006. Following this, Bakke worked at SINTEF Digital as a Senior Research Scientist from January 2007 to July 2016. Currently, they are the CTO and Co-Founder of Tunable AS, where they have been working since August 2016.

Thor Bakke completed their education in the field of engineering. From 1991 to 1995, they attended the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) in Trondheim, Norway, where they obtained a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, known as Siv. Ing. Following this, Bakke pursued further studies at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1996 to 2002. At NTNU, they earned a doctoral degree (Dr. Ing.) specializing in Photonics.
