Mario García Canfrán

Mario García Canfrán is the current Chief Operating Officer at Tupl, a digital transformation company. Prior to their current role, they served as an independent consultant for both a data analytics startup focused on health and an AI startup. From February 2017 to October 2017, García Canfrán was the Consulting Director at Ayesa, where they oversaw digital GTM for utilities and telcos. Mario also managed salesforce and RPA-UiPath services for IT Enel/Endesa.

García Canfrán began their career in telecommunications at Grupo Delaware in May of 2002, where they served as Telecom Consulting Manager until May of 2007. Mario then spent a year as Mobile devices´Product Manager at Xfera Móviles before joining PwC in May of 2007. At PwC, García Canfrán served as Director and Head of Digital Infrastructures for Spain's digital services division from 2007 to 2016. Mario began their tenure at PwC as a Consultant in the telecom consulting division in 1999.

Between their time at Grupo Delaware and Xfera Móviles, García Canfrán took a break to fulfill their military service obligation with the Spanish Army from May 1998 to February 1999.

Mario García Canfrán has an Executive MBA from IESE Business School, an Executive Leadership Program from University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business, and a MsC in Telecommunications Engineer from Universidad de Málaga. Mario also has certification from Stanford University School of Medicine in AI in Healthcare Specialization, Course 4/5 - Evaluation of AI applications in Healthcare, Course 3/5 - Fundamentals of Machine Learning for Healthcare, Course 1/5 - Introduction to Healthcare, and Course 2/5 - Introduction to Clinical Data. Furthermore, they have certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Getting Started with AWS Machine Learning and AWS Fundamentals: Going Cloud-Native!.
