Christian Alfonso has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting, spanning over two decades. Christian started their career as an Experienced Senior at Arthur Andersen, where they worked in the Assurance and Business Advisory division, focusing on the oil, gas, and electricity sectors. During this time, they led audit teams, assisted with financial statement preparation, and provided guidance on accounting and auditing issues.
Following their time at Arthur Andersen, Christian joined Chocolates Lacasa de Argentina S.A. as the Financial and Administrative Manager. In this role, they oversaw critical areas such as finance, accounting, tax, and accounts payable. Christian also provided assistance in financial statement preparation and review of administrative and internal control procedures.
Christian then moved to KPMG, where they served as the Manager of the Petrobras Energia S.A. audit team. Here, they continued to gain experience in auditing and worked specifically with SEC-registrant and CNV-registered companies in Argentina and Chile.
After KPMG, Christian joined The Mosaic Company - Mosaic Fertilizantes do Brasil Ltda. as a Senior Manager. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Finance, Planning and Analysis (FP&A) area for the company's Brazil and Paraguay businesses. Christian provided financial analysis, made recommendations for investments and expansions, and contributed to the achievement of the company's goals.
Christian then joined Autopistas Urbanas S.A. (AUSA) as the Senior Manager of Admin & Finance. In this role, they managed various financial and administrative responsibilities for the company.
Following their time at AUSA, Christian joined Tupperware Brands Argentina, first as the CFO and later as the Finance Director for South America. In these roles, they provided financial partnership and support to the core direct selling business and managed various areas of accounting and finance.
Currently, Christian is working as a University Professor at UADE, where they teach accounting and finance courses.
Throughout their career, Christian has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of finance and accounting principles. Christian has experience in various industries and has held positions of increasing responsibility.
Christian Alfonso completed their education at various institutions. In 1997, they graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a degree in Contador Publico, specializing in Económicas. In 2005, they pursued Master en Finanzas at Universidad del CEMA, focusing on Finanzas Corporativas. Finally, in 2012, they completed the PDD - Programa de Desarrollo Directivo at IAE Business School, specializing in Management.
