Michael Burgess has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Michael began their career at Atos Origin in 2005 as a .NET Developer. Michael then worked at Rabobank as a Software Developer from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, Michael joined London Underground as a Real-Time Systems Software Developer, where they focused on developing and enhancing mission-critical real-time information systems.

In 2010, Michael joined Credit Suisse as a Lead Developer on the Fixed Income PnL Attribution Platform, where they played a crucial role in developing and maintaining the platform used across different departments. In 2013, they moved to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where they held the positions of Senior C#/Python/Java Developer on the Equity Derivatives Pricing Platform and Senior UI Developer (VP) in Equity Derivatives Risk. During their time at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Michael worked on various web and desktop UIs, utilizing languages and technologies such as Python, JavaScript, React, Redux, SASS, DevExpress DevExtreme, Node.js, C#, and WinForms.

In 2017, Michael joined Turbot as a Software Engineer, contributing to the company's software development efforts. Michael then advanced to the role of Software Architect in January 2021. Michael continues to work at Turbot, focusing on architectural design and development.

Michael Burgess attended Staffordshire University from 2004 to 2005, where they pursued a BSc (Hons) degree in Computing Science.
