Teresa Determan has a strong background in human resources and talent management. Teresa currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at Turck USA, where they lead the HR department in developing and implementing strategies for recruitment, employee relations, workforce administration, and employee engagement. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Global Talent Management & Development at Optum. Teresa also has experience as a Senior Director of Talent Business Partner at UnitedHealth Group and as a Director of Human Resources Business Partner at Optum. Teresa has expertise in change management and has previously worked as a Consultant in organizational effectiveness at Target and as a Manager of Shared Services at Ontrack. Teresa began their career as a Consultant in Human Resource Development at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, where they designed and delivered employee development courses.
Teresa Determan holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Human Resources & Change Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Education 1-9 from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the SHRM Executive Network in May 2023.
