Karen Turkstra

Karen Turkstra has extensive work experience in various roles. Karen is currently serving as the President of Healthy Youth Network-non profit charity since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President at Turkstra Lumber since 2015. Karen also has experience as a Land Developer through their self-employment from September 1997. Karen has served as a CAS Board of Directors member for the Children's Aid Society of Hamilton from June 2015 to June 2021. Additionally, they worked as an HWDSB Trustee for the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board from November 2006 to November 2014.

Karen Turkstra attended the University of Waterloo from 1982 to 1986, where they earned an Honours Bachelor degree in Business/Managerial Economics. Karen further pursued their education at McGill University from 1991 to 1993, studying Business Management Studies.
