Turlock Irrigation District
Randy Erickson is an accomplished electrical engineering professional with extensive experience in power systems and engineering management. Currently serving as the Station Engineering Department Manager at Turlock Irrigation District since October 2001, Randy oversees substation design, generation facility design, relay protection, and communications facilities. During previous roles, Randy managed the substation and hydro design group and successfully completed multiple high-budget substation projects. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Electrical Engineer at Modesto Irrigation District, where Randy contributed to CEQA documentation and material procurement for generation projects, and as Electrical Engineering Associate at Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, specializing in electrical construction quality assurance and electric and magnetic fields. Randy holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from California State University-Sacramento.
Turlock Irrigation District
Established in 1887, the Turlock Irrigation District is the first publicly owned irrigation district in the state and one of only four in California today that also provides electric retail energy directly to homes, farms and businesses. Organized under the Wright Act, the District operates under the provisions of the California Water Code as a special district. TID is also an independent control area and is governed by a five member Board of Directors.
