Edward Hsia

Edward Hsia has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Edward is currently working as the VP Dermatology at Turn Biotechnologies since May 2022. Before that, Edward worked at Almirall as the Vice President of External Research & Innovation from June 2017 to May 2022. Prior to Almirall, they held the position of Executive Director of Dermatology Research at Allergan from November 2010 to May 2017. Edward also worked at Stiefel, a GlaxoSmithKline Company as an Associate Director of Research and Preclinical Development from July 2008 to October 2010. Before that, they worked at Stiefel Laboratories as a Scientist from March 2006 to June 2008. Edward's career started at Connetics Corporation, where they worked as an Associate Scientist from March 2004 to March 2006. Edward also held a role as a Quality Control Analyst at Connetics Corporation from July 1998 to August 1999. Edward's early career involved working as an Associate QA Scientist at Bayer Corporation from February 1997 to July 1998. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Associate at MTL, Inc from March 1995 to February 1997 and as a Research Chemist at Genzyme Diagnostics from June 1994 to March 1995.

Edward Hsia received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis in 1994. Edward then pursued further education and completed their Master of Science degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences at San Francisco State University from 1997 to 1999. Edward continued their academic journey and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry from Boston University School of Medicine, attending from 1999 to 2003.
