Shannon Ely has an extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Shannon started their career as Vice President and Research Director at Centrac DC Marketing Research, where they built and led a life science specialty division and successfully grew the account billings from $300K to $4.5M within 2 years.

In 2009, Shannon founded their own marketing research and strategy consulting practice called Trailblazer Research, focusing on technology and innovation in healthcare. Shannon built a client base from scratch, including top companies like Humana and Medtronic, and achieved $3M in annual revenue. Shannon also led ongoing R&D research for Medtronic's cardiac rhythm and CGM devices.

Shannon then joined Mutual Mobile as a Partner, overseeing a team of 10+ researchers and designers. Shannon expanded the company's offerings to include research and experience design, delivering double-digit million-dollar annual research revenue. Shannon introduced and led various services, such as marketing research, product definition, UX/UI/CX design, and consulting services.

After Mutual Mobile, Shannon worked at GLG as a Sr. Director, Healthcare Investment Research & Strategy. Shannon led a global team of 20 with cross-functional responsibility for over 250 people. Shannon positioned the tech and healthcare division as the fastest-growing division and drove profits through primary and secondary research, sales analytics, competitive landscape analysis, and predictive analytics.

Currently, Shannon is the Chief Marketing Officer at Turn Medical, a position they started in 2023.

Shannon Ely pursued graduate studies in Marketing Strategy at The Johns Hopkins University. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing and Biochemistry at Harding University.
