Shelley Hopkinson currently serves as the Head of Policy and Influencing at Turn2us since June 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Public Affairs Manager at Independent Age from November 2018 to June 2023, Project Coordinator at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand from December 2017 to July 2018, and Parliamentary and Public Affairs Manager at the Equality and Human Rights Commission from September 2016 to August 2017. At Action for Children, Shelley was the Campaigns and Public Affairs Manager from June 2013 to September 2016, acting as the expert adviser for UK-wide public affairs and political influencing. Additional experience includes working as a Parliamentary Assistant to Meg Munn MP from September 2011 to June 2013 and a Parliamentary Intern for Rt Hon Caroline Flint MP in 2010. Shelley holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophical Studies from Newcastle University and a Master's Degree in International Politics and Global Security from the University of Sheffield.
