Naureen Kazi

Senior Vice President, Tourism Practice at TURNER

Naureen Kazi has an extensive work experience in the field of tourism, marketing, and public relations. Naureen started their career as a CORO Kansas City Intern at CORO in 2003. Later, they worked as a Communications Specialist (Intern) at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation - Kauffman Scholar's Program in 2004.

In 2006, Naureen joined Fleishman-Hillard Japan, Inc. as a Senior Account Executive, where they established new communications platforms and launched branding projects for overseas companies doing business in Japan. Naureen also coordinated and implemented projects with offices within the global Omnicom agency network.

From 2010 to 2017, Naureen worked at Development Counsellors International as a Vice President in the Tourism Practice. In this role, they were responsible for destination marketing and tourism public relations for various clients. Naureen created and implemented marketing communication campaigns involving media relations, tour operator/travel agent relations, events, and promotions.

Naureen also had various other roles such as Travel Trade Manager (United States) at Promperu from 2011 to 2016 and Public Relations Manager (North America) at Dubai Tourism from 2011 to 2015.

Since 2017, Naureen has been working at TURNER. Naureen started as the Vice President in the Tourism Practice and later became the Senior Vice President. In their current role, they lead strategic planning and development of key client programs and integrated campaigns. Naureen works closely with clients and prospects to create integrated North American marketing communication campaigns that include media relations, travel trade representation, digital campaigns, special events, and promotions.

Throughout their career, Naureen has managed tourism promotion programs for various destinations, including Chile, Indiana, South Carolina, Milwaukee (WI), Columbia (MO), and Tupelo (MS). Naureen has also worked with clients such as CityPASS, Turismo Chile, Finger Lakes Wine Country, Japan National Tourism Organization, and Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing, among others.

Naureen Kazi attended Kansas State University from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising/Mass Communications. Naureen also completed a minor in Leadership Studies and concentrated on Foreign Languages during their studies. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, including being a Chile Specialist through Chile Tourism in December 2014, a Tassie Specialist through Tourism Australia/Tourism Tasmania in August 2014, and a Peru Specialist through PROMPERU in December 2011.
