Nickie Wilson (Ewald), RN, is a seasoned nursing professional with extensive experience in various healthcare roles. Currently serving as a Practice Performance Advisor at Evolent Health since December 2022, Nickie has also been a Forensic Nurse Examiner at Turning Point since January 2006, where responsibilities include conducting medical-forensic examinations for victims of various crimes and providing expert witness testimony. Previous positions include Clinical Program Manager and Clinical Program Specialist at The Physician Alliance between April 2017 and November 2022, Lead Clinical Healthcare Consultant at Ethica Holdings from October 2017 to November 2022, and Clinical Performance Improvement Consultant at Medical Advantage Group from June 2015 to April 2017. Nickie’s educational background encompasses a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Detroit Mercy, a Forensic Nursing Certificate from Kaplan University, and two Associate degrees from Macomb Community College in Nursing and General Studies, along with prior studies at Wayne State University.

Turning Point
Turning Point provides comprehensive, free, and confidential programs for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, their loved ones, and the community. Services include a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, housing, trauma advocacy/counseling, personal protection order assistance, legal advocacy, forensic nurse exams, first response advocacy, prevention, and community education. Second Hand Rose, another Turning Point service, provides survivors with gently used items while providing an opportunity for the community to donate and shop.
