Turning Point
Tina Solomon is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in mental health and addiction recovery support. Currently serving as a Certified Peer Support Specialist at Easter Seals Greater Houston since March 2017 and as a Victims Rights Advocate at Turning Point since February 2016, Tina has also held previous roles that include Residential Care Technician at Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center and Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center, along with a Peer Recovery Coach at CARE of Southeastern Michigan. Tina's expertise encompasses client intake and discharge processes, group facilitation for substance use disorders and mental illness, and providing crucial support in recovery journeys. Educational background includes studies at Macomb Community College from 2012 to 2014.
Turning Point
Turning Point provides comprehensive, free, and confidential programs for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, their loved ones, and the community. Services include a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, housing, trauma advocacy/counseling, personal protection order assistance, legal advocacy, forensic nurse exams, first response advocacy, prevention, and community education. Second Hand Rose, another Turning Point service, provides survivors with gently used items while providing an opportunity for the community to donate and shop.
