Luke Thompson

Luke Thompson, Ph.D., is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as an Outpatient Therapist at Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center since August 2022 and as a Therapist at the Emotional Management Program since May 2024. Luke has previously held fellowships at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis and taught graduate courses on Japanese Buddhist texts at the Institute of Buddhist Studies. With extensive freelance editing and translation expertise, Luke has worked with various academic institutions and published numerous academic journal articles. Educational credentials include an AM in Clinical/Medical Social Work from the University of Chicago, a PhD in East Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University, and advanced degrees in Buddhist Studies and Japanese Studies. Additionally, Luke has management experience in real estate and has worked as a counselor and faculty member in educational programs.
