Min-Yen Kan

Min-Yen Kan serves as the Vice Dean in the Undergraduate Office at NUS Computing, overseeing 11 administrative staff and 3 faculty assistant deans to manage various degree programs for over 1600 students annually. With experience as an Associate Professor since 2002, specialization includes digital libraries, natural language processing, educational technology, and machine learning, alongside founding the WING lab at NUS. Contributions to the Association for Computational Linguistics include roles as Co-Chair of the Ethics Committee and former Editor of the ACL Anthology. Advisory positions include Science Partner at Entrepreneur First and Technical Advisor for Pencil, focusing on deep learning strategies. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and BS in Computer Science from Columbia University.
