Blaze Fugina has held various roles in the media and software development industries since 2011. In 2011, Blaze was the Editor at Madelia Times Messenger. In 2012, Blaze was the Community Editor at The Laker newspaper. From 2013 to 2015, Blaze was a Sports and News Reporter at the Echo Press Newspaper and a Sports Editor at the Pierce County Herald. In 2016, Blaze was a Sports Reporter at the Woodbury Bulletin Newspaper. From 2017 to 2018, Blaze was a Full Stack Software Development Student at Prime Digital Academy and a Software Engineer at TurnKey Corrections (@TKCKiosk). During this time, Blaze developed skills in JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Node. js, Express, MongoDB, and SQL. Blaze also received two Minnesota Newspaper Association awards for photographs taken for the Echo Press.

Blaze Fugina obtained a Full Stack Software Engineering Certification from Prime Digital Academy in 2018. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2011, where they studied Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs.
