Fengru L. has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2008 as a Summer Ticketing Agent at SeaWorld Orlando. In 2009, they were a Marketing Intern at Yolk, and in 2010, a Summer IT Intern at Daiwa Capital Markets Singapore Ltd. In 2011, they worked as an Operations Associate at Nestle Singapore and an Account Manager at UL's Transaction Security Division. From 2014 to 2018, Fengru L. worked at Salesforce, where they held the roles of Account Executive for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Business Development for Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, and Sales Representative for ASEAN. In 2018, they took a role as a Territory Account Manager for Google Cloud Platform. Most recently, in 2019, Fengru L. founded and became the CEO of TurtleTree, a biotech company that seeks to reduce carbon footprint and provide millions access to safer, reliable, and higher quality dairy products.

Fengru L. began their educational journey in 2001 when they attended CHIJ St Nicholas Girls School. They then continued their studies at Singapore Management University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained an ISM in Information Systems Management and Marketing. In 2020, Fengru L. attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to study The Science and Business of Biotechnology. They are currently enrolled in the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA program at ESSEC Business School, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Additionally, Fengru L. obtained a certification in the Tony J Hughes Modernized Selling Workshop from Tony J Hughes RSVP selling in December 2016.
