Andrew Maxey has extensive experience in the educational sector, serving in various roles within Tuscaloosa City Schools since 2005, including positions as English Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and ultimately as Director of Strategic Initiatives, Director of Special Programs, and Director of Middle School Education from August 2011 to the present. Prior to this, Andrew held teaching positions in the Sweetwater Union High School District and PIONEER REGIONAL SCHOOL CORP. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from The University of Alabama, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
