John Hamilton, MLIS, currently serves as a Library Media Specialist at Tuscaloosa City Schools since September 2017. Prior to this role, John worked as a Digital Archivist at The University of Alabama College of Community Health Sciences for several months in early 2017 and at the Center for the Study of Tobacco and Society from 2014 to 2015. John's earlier experience includes positions as a Librarian at Fayette County Memorial Library and as Owner/Operator of The Hive, a gaming LAN center. John has also contributed as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Alabama Libraries and SLIS, gaining valuable skills in web services and accessibility. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from The University of Alabama.
