Erick W. Harris

Trustee at Tuskegee University

Erick W. Harris is an Attorney at the law firm Pierce, Couch, Hendrickson, Baysinger & Green in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he practices civil litigation and business litigation. Before entering private practice, Erick was an Assistant Attorney General for the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office. As an Assistant Attorney General, Erick prosecuted elder abuse, abuse of the mentally disabled, and Medicaid fraud. Additionally, he is also an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Erick is licensed to practice law in all state courts and federal district courts in Oklahoma and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Likewise, he is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Oklahoma County Bar Association. A very community-oriented individual, Erick is a volunteer for several organizations. He is a member of the board of trustees for Tuskegee University Board and the Oklahoma Humanities Council. Erick is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma. Among his many honors and awards, Erick is a recipient of the “NextGen Under 30 Award,” which recognizes the next generation of leaders in the State of Oklahoma.

Erick is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Oklahoma Journal of Law and Technology. He also received a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma. Erick received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Tuskegee University, where he served as student body president.
