Lavinia Raj obtained their NCEA Level 3 degree in University Entrance from Hamilton's Fraser High School, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Lavinia then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Auckland from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Lavinia Raj has also obtained several certifications in related fields. These include the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in February 2017, the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in October 2016, the Certified Fibre Optics Technician from The Fiber Optic Association, Inc. in February 2015, and the Personal Agility - Certified Practitioner from the Ministry of People in June 2021.
