Lavinia Raj

Lavinia Raj has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Lavinia started their career as a Maths and English Tutor at Kumon Australia & New Zealand in 2007. Lavinia also worked as a Peer Tutor at Hamilton's Fraser High School during the same period.

In 2011, Lavinia served as the Women in Engineering (WEN) Coordinator at the IEEE/WIE Affinity Group, University of Auckland - Student Branch. Lavinia also had a summer student internship at Compac Sorting Equipment as an Electrical/Electronics Assembler, where they gained practical engineering skills.

Lavinia then worked as a Research & Development Engineer at Tru-Test Ltd from November 2012 to May 2013. Following this, they joined Ultrafast Fibre in July 2013 and held multiple roles including Graduate Engineer, Network Engineer, Associate Project Manager, Project Manager, and Design Engineer. Their responsibilities at Ultrafast Fibre included project management, cost/benefit analysis, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination. Lavinia also completed the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management.

In 2018, Lavinia joined Mercury NZ as a Project Manager for a brief period of three months. Lavinia then moved on to Tuatahi First Fibre in 2019, where they took on roles as a Contracting Business Analyst and Asset Management Specialist, and later as an Asset Project Specialist.

Lavinia's work experience highlights their expertise in project management, asset management, business analysis, and engineering.

Lavinia Raj obtained their NCEA Level 3 degree in University Entrance from Hamilton's Fraser High School, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Lavinia then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Auckland from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Lavinia Raj has also obtained several certifications in related fields. These include the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in February 2017, the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in October 2016, the Certified Fibre Optics Technician from The Fiber Optic Association, Inc. in February 2015, and the Personal Agility - Certified Practitioner from the Ministry of People in June 2021.
