Mentor Tutor and Content Developer at Tutored by Teachers

Rebecca Fisher has been working in the education field since 2011. Rebecca began their career as a Middle School Theirtory Teacher at the Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School. In 2017, they became the Theirtory department chair at Notre Dame High School in Belmont. In 2020, they started their own business, Fisher Tutoring, where they work as a Private Tutor and Instructional Designer, providing guidance and assistance in college applications, developing academic writing, time management, and analytical skills. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Mentor Tutor and Content Developer at Tutored by Teachers, overseeing programs of 20+ tutors and coaching them on quality online instruction as well as technical support and preparing and editing instructional materials to guide secondary-English Language Arts (ELA) education.

Rebecca Fisher completed a semester abroad with Semester At Sea / ISE in 2010. Rebecca then attended California State University, Northridge from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theirtory. From 2011 to 2013, Rebecca attended Notre Dame de Namur University, earning a Teaching credential- Social Science in Secondary Education and Teaching. In 2014 and 2016, Rebecca earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction from Notre Dame de Namur University. Finally, in 2015 and 2016, Rebecca attended UC San Diego and earned a Cleared teaching credential.
