Thomas Steffens

Thomas Steffens has extensive experience in the field of functional safety and cybersecurity. Thomas currently holds the position of Head of conformity assessment body Functional Safety and OT Cyber Security at TÜV Rheinland Group since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as Certifier for CYBR for NCB TÜV Rheinland Japan at TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd. starting from February 2022. Thomas also worked as a Certifier of approved body at TÜV Rheinland UK Ltd. from September 2021. Thomas Steffens has been associated with TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service GmbH since 2000 and has held various roles, including Regional Business Segment Manager Functional Safety and Cyber Security, Deputy of Certification body for Functional Safety and OT Cyber Security, Manager BU I&C Functional Safety and Security, Head of Sales Functional Safety, and Funktional Safety Expert / Trainer for TÜV Rheinland Functional Safety Program.

Thomas Steffens studied at Fachhochschule Hannover, where they obtained a Diplom in Energy Technology.
