Alex Adrych-Brunning is a Senior Consultant in the Radiation Physics Team and the Physics and Data Science for Healthcare Team at TÜV SÜD since June 2022, applying analytical and research skills to various projects, including modeling medical radionuclide usage and designing shielding solutions through Monte Carlo simulations. Prior to this role, Alex served as a Physicist at Moltex Energy, developing reactor models for the Uranium Stable Salt Reactor, and worked as a Radiation Shielding Consultant at TÜV SÜD, utilizing radiation transport codes to simulate radiation in medical and research facilities. Alex completed a PhD in Nuclear Materials at the University of Manchester, focusing on proton irradiation interactions, and has held research assistant positions at the University of Nottingham and Michell Instruments Inc., along with mentoring A-level students in academic writing through the Manchester access programme. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Manchester and an MSci in Physics from the University of Nottingham.
