Dewayne Barker has had a long and diverse work experience. Starting in 1993, they worked as a Sr. Chemical Consultant for Ace Limited until 2006. Dewayne then moved on to AEGIS Insurance Services, where they held the position of Sr. Property Engineer from 2006 to 2008. Since 2008, Dewayne has been with TÜV SÜD Global Risk Consultants, where they have taken on various roles. Dewayne initially served as the Global Leader - Technical Resource Trainee Program and was responsible for hiring and training new engineering graduates. Dewayne also served as the chemical industry Practice Leader. In October 2022, they were promoted to the position of Chief Engineer and started working as a standards development engineer for the organization. Dewayne is also involved in recruiting new engineers and providing training in the fire practice.
Dewayne Barker earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology, completing their studies from 1982 to 1987.
