Matt Caywood

Matt Caywood, PhD, is the CEO of Actionfigure, a company established in March 2013 that specializes in providing transportation information solutions to real estate owners and workplaces on an international scale, promoting informed and sustainable commuting choices. Prior to this role, Matt held positions as a Senior AI Engineer and Neuroscientist at MITRE from 2010 to 2014, where leadership was demonstrated in the development of AI systems for geolocating media and brain/computer interfaces monitoring cognitive workload. Between 2006 and 2014, Matt served as a Rare Book Dealer at Denominator Books, specializing in scientific and medical literature, and was a member of the Independent Online Booksellers Association. Educationally, Matt earned an AB in Computer Science from Harvard University, an M. Phil. in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge, and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco, where research focused on visual object recognition and innovative mapping techniques for visual cortical areas.
