Thom Denholm

Thom Denholm has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Thom is currently serving as the Secretary of the Board of Directors at SD Association since January 2022, and as a Board Member since November 2019. Prior to that, Thom worked as an Umpire at NBUA (Northwest Baseball Umpires Association) since January 1993.

In 2010, Thom worked at Tuxera as a Technical Product Manager, where they were responsible for product planning, worldwide marketing, and pre-sales support for Datalight's software product line. Thom also provided technical assistance to sales staff, trained partners, channel sales, and customers. Thom's responsibilities at Tuxera also included regular projects like blog postings, web seminars, and demonstration videos.

Before joining Tuxera, Thom briefly worked as a Consultant at TECOM Industries in February 2010. From July 2000 to May 2009, they worked at Tuxera as a Senior Software Engineer, where they focused on development and product support across different platforms and operating systems. Thom contributed to major projects involving software ECC solution, multithreading, and performance enhancement.

Prior to their tenure at Tuxera, Thom worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Orrtax Software Solutions from August 1996 to July 2000. Their role included improving system-level speed and addressing defects in a time-critical environment. Thom primarily worked on a product that compiled custom data entry scripts from various IRS and state tax codes.

Thom's career began at Attachmate in September 1989, where they worked as a Programmer until May 1996. In this role, they focused on fixing bugs in legacy software and designing and implementing features at different levels of code. Thom primarily worked on a task swapping mainframe terminal emulator product with data transfer and low memory footprint capabilities.

Thom Denholm pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Math and Computer Science from Gonzaga University starting in 1984 and completing it in 1989.
