Esben Seerup has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Esben worked at TV 2/FYN as the Director since June 2012. Prior to this, they had a long and varied career at Fyens Stiftstidende where they held roles such as Sports Reporter, News Editor, Editorial Chief, and Odense Editor. Esben also worked as a Course Leader and Instructor at Update og Den Journalistiske Efteruddannelse, where they organized and taught journalism courses. In the early years of their career, they were a Journalist Trainee at Journalisten and Danmarks Radio, where they gained experience in magazine and radio journalism.
Esben Seerup's education history is as follows:
- From 2008 to 2010, Esben attended Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, where they obtained a Master's degree in Redaktionel ledelse, also known as Media Management.
- In 2004, Esben enrolled in the Nordic Media Programme for a brief period, acquiring a Graduate degree in Media management.
- In 2001, Esben graduated from the European Journalism School, focusing on Middle management in media.
- In 1996, Esben participated in Den Journalistiske Efteruddannelse/Update, earning a degree in Den nye nyhedsredaktør, with a focus on Denmark and the USA.
- Esben's undergraduate studies were completed at Danmarks Journalisthøjskole from 1985 to 1990, where they obtained a degree in Journalism and specialized in Radio, magasiner, and EU.
- Between 1983 and 1984, Esben studied at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark as a student of Maskiningeniør.
- Esben completed their secondary education at Vestfyens Gymnasium from 1980 to 1983, obtaining a Student degree with a focus on Samfundssproglig.
