Joseph Chen, PhD

Joseph Chen, PhD has over 25 years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Joseph began their career in 1985 as a Staff Engineer at the Suzhou Institute of Electrochemical Power Sources. In 1996, they took on a Post-doc role at a reputable pharmacy college. Following this, they were a Scientist at BI from 1998 to 2001. Joseph then moved to a Small Biotech as an Associate Director until 2007. During this time, they also held a Global Technical Support role at a JnJ company. In 2007, they became a Director at a Mid-size Biotech. From 2015 to 2021, they held Vice President roles at Several Startup Biotechs and Cheminopti LLC. Most recently, they are the Vice President of CMC at Tvardi Therapeutics.

Joseph Chen received their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from a University in US Mid South in 1996. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree from a Engineering University, followed by a Master's degree from the same university.
