Luis Ortiz Jr. has a diverse range of work experience in the media industry. Luis started in 2014 at MundoFox, where they served as a Video Editor, TOC, Media Manager, and Camera Operator. In this role, they were responsible for setting up live shots and coordinating with Master Control and Scheduling to ensure smooth operations. In 2015, they joined MundoMax Broadcast as a Video Editor, Producer, and Media Manager, where they monitored media library elements, ensured proper storage, and resolved technical issues. Luis also worked at TVG Network Betfair US in 2015 as a TOC/Operations personnel, coordinating with production staff and monitoring video and audio quality. Currently, they are employed at KTLA since 2017 as a Video Editor/Material Management, where they are responsible for editing breaking news stories and assisting reporters with their stories.

Luis Ortiz Jr. has an Associate of Arts - AA degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from the College of the Canyons. Luis also holds an Associate of Arts - AA degree in TV & Film from Video Symphony.
