Lieven Somers started their work experience in 2000 as a Scientific Researcher at Vlerick Business School. In 2004, they became a (Senior) Business Analyst at Bekaert, where they worked on strategic analysis. Lieven then moved on to become a Project Manager for Sales Performance Excellence in Bekaert's Wire Division, responsible for developing processes and support tools. In 2011, they became the Global Market Manager for Special Steel Wires at Bekaert, where they formulated commercial strategies and oversaw new product development. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Global Change Agent/Subject Matter Expert at Bekaert. In 2018, they became a Program Management Officer for Bekaert Customer Excellence, and in 2020, they became the Strategy & Marketing Manager for Bekaert Fiber Technologies. Lieven currently holds the role of Commercial Excellence Director at TVH, which they started in 2023.
Lieven Somers began their education in 1989 at Sint-Jozefscollege, although no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period.
