Yann Hamdaoui has a diverse work experience in the field of computer science. Yann started their career in 2012 with a research internship at Inria. In 2013, they worked as a research intern at 同志社大学, where they implemented a numerical simulation on GPUs to study the behavior of particles in a ferrofluid.
In 2014, Yann joined IRIF (Institut de Recherche en Informatique Fondamentale) as a PHD candidate. During their time there, they conducted research in various areas such as concurrency, linear logic and proof nets, functional programming languages, and type systems. Yann completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2018.
From 2018 to 2020, Yann worked as a Fullstack Engineer at their own company, HAMDAOUI YANN. During this time, they gained experience in fullstack development.
Currently, Yann is employed as a Research Software Engineer at Tweag I/O since April 2020. Yann is leading the Nickel project, where they research, designs, and implements the Nickel configuration language in Rust. Yann is also a member of the Nix team.
Overall, Yann has a strong research and development background in computer science, with experience in various domains such as numerical simulation, concurrency, programming languages, and web development.
Yann Hamdaoui's education history begins in 2009 when they attended Lycée Saint Louis. Yann pursued a Class préparatoires MPSI/MP* degree with a focus on Mathematics until 2010.
From 2010 to 2014, Yann studied at CentraleSupélec, where they earned a Diplôme d'ingénieur with a specialization in Applied Mathematics.
Continuing their educational journey, Yann attended Université Paris Cité from 2013 to 2014 to pursue a Master 2 (M2) degree in Informatics.
Their academic pursuits culminated in a Research Doctorate at Université Paris Cité, where they focused on Mathematics and Computer Science from 2014 to 2018.
