Adel Jilani Ph.D., P.eng.

Adel Jilani, PhD, P.Eng., currently serves as a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer at Twelve since April 2022, following a notable tenure at Ballard Power Systems from March 2010 to April 2022, where roles included Principal R&D Engineer/Scientist and Senior R&D Engineer/Scientist, focusing on structural integrity and innovation in fuel cell technology. Previous experience includes positions as a Reliability & Component Engineer at Microsoft and Hardware Design Engineer V at HP, contributing to advanced technologies in graphics, imaging, and MEMS analysis. Early career involvement as a Research Assistant in the NASA-Virginia Tech Composites Program included developing predictive program codes for manufacturing deformations. Adel Jilani holds a PhD in Engineering Science & Mechanics from Virginia Tech, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, and dual degrees in Civil Engineering (BS and MS) from Colorado State University.
