Derek Leong

Derek Leong is an experienced facilities and equipment manager with a strong background in overseeing large-scale operations and equipment maintenance. Currently positioned at Twelve since May 2023, Derek previously served as Facilities Site Lead at Impossible Foods, where management of a team across multiple buildings totaling approximately 148,000 square feet was a key responsibility. Prior roles include Facility Engineering Manager and Plant Engineering Supervisor at UPS, where Derek oversaw operations and maintenance in fully automated warehouses. Earlier experience at Anchor Brewers and Distillers, LLC as an Associate Process Engineer involved leading efficiency improvement initiatives in brewing and packaging processes. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego.
