Zak Mashadi has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Zak currently holds the position of Vice President at TWI Foods Inc. since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Development professional at the same company from March 2016 to July 2022.
Before joining TWI Foods Inc., Zak worked as a Lawyer at Galati & Associates from September 2013 to March 2016. Zak also gained experience in the legal field during their time at Osgoode Hall Law School, where they served as a Dean's Fellow- Property Law from September 2012 to May 2013. Zak also held positions in the student government at the law school, including Vice President and 1st Year Representative.
Zak’s passion for providing legal services without charge led him to work with Pro Bono Students Canada. Here, they served as the Chapter President from April 2011 to September 2012, partnering with McCarthy Tetrault to facilitate legal assistance to organizations and individuals in need. Additionally, they worked as a Project Coordinator, delivering information seminars on rights, legal mechanisms, and appeal processes to asylum seekers and immigration applicants at immigration holding facilities.
Zak's early professional career included roles such as Regional Operations Manager at Apple Retail from July 2009 to March 2012 and Associate at Linklaters from September 2009 to May 2010. Zak also served as the President of the University of Toronto Model United Nations from September 2007 to May 2008, leading an executive team and overseeing the allocation of budgets for conferences.
Zak Mashadi has a diverse education history. In 2008, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Political Science from the University of Toronto. Zak further pursued their academic and professional development by obtaining a JD degree from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, graduating in 2013. Zak also gained expertise in International Trade and Political Affairs at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2010.
To enhance their skills in the field of business and management, Zak enrolled in the Cambridge Judge Business School in 2016 and completed a Certification in Managerial Psychology in 2017. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications to further augment their professional qualifications. In 2010, Zak achieved the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification - Level II from ICGB. Subsequently, in 2013, they became a Barrister and Solicitor by obtaining the necessary certification from The Law Society of Upper Canada.
