Rebecca Pitkin has an extensive work experience spanning from 2005 to 2017. Rebecca started their career at Pearson Education as an Editor and progressed to become a Senior Editor, Senior Development Editor, and Editorial Team Leader. At Discovery Education UK, they worked as a Strategic Research Manager, gathering customer requirements and conducting user testing. Rebecca also served as a Senior Producer, producing videos and content for the secondary science and maths curriculum. As a Freelance Producer/Writer, they worked on various projects. At Global Vision International, they interned as a Conservation Intern. Rebecca also worked at Smile For Hope Foundation as a Media Specialist, involved in post-disaster strategy development and fundraising efforts. Currently, they are the Head of Science at Twig Education, leading the creation of innovative science education products for global markets.
Rebecca Pitkin has a Master's Degree in Development Economics and International Development, which they obtained from The Open University in 2014. Prior to that, they completed a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics at the University of Chester from 2004 to 2005. In 2001, Rebecca earned an MPhil in Nuclear Astrophysics from the University of York. Rebecca began their academic journey by obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Nottingham, where they studied from 1996 to 1999.
