Joe Chung

Joe Chung is the Senior Director of Engineering at Twilio. Joe was previously the Director of Platform Engineering at SendGrid from August 2017 to February 2019. Prior to that, they were a Senior Engineering Manager at Box from July 2012 to August 2017. Joe has experience managing multiple engineering teams and delivering key features for customers and developers that positively impact both engagement and revenue. Joe is skilled in building out robust organizations anchored by solid leaders. Joe's teams have built and maintained platform services, some of which have been implemented in external features such as the Box Cloud Content Management API, Events API, Box View API, Box Preview, Authentication (OAuth, JWT, etc.), Webhooks, Frontend UI Elements, SDKs, and Partner Integrations with IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, Salesforce, etc.

Joe Chung studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. Joe earned their Bachelor of Science in EECS from UC Berkeley.
