Salman Ahmed

Salman Ahmed is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in building and scaling engineering organizations and products. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering for Twilio Engage since July 2021, Salman oversees a team of over 60 engineers to develop innovative marketing products using Segment CDP. In addition, Salman mentors and coaches engineering leaders at growth-stage startups through Plato, focusing on operational excellence and strategic planning. Previous roles include Director of Engineering for Twitch's Data Platform, where infrastructure and tools were developed to convert data into actionable insights, and Director of Platform, Data and Observability at Box, responsible for critical technical infrastructure. Salman also held positions at Qualcomm, Intuit, Raytheon|Websense, and Mitchell International, consistently demonstrating expertise in data infrastructure, performance engineering, and software integration. Educational qualifications include a B.E. in Computer Systems from San Diego State University and NED University of Engineering and Technology.
