Momo Hayakawa is a seasoned professional in child development and educational research, currently serving as the Director of Child Development and Research at TPT - Twin Cities PBS since July 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing the Ready to Learn project and leading research for the STEM program 'HERO ELEMENTARY.' Momo's academic role as Affiliate Graduate Faculty at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota, involves teaching courses on early childhood and public policy. With a rich background as Research Associate and Project Manager of the Midwest CPC Expansion at the University of Minnesota, Momo has designed and evaluated comprehensive interventions in schools across multiple states. Momo holds a Ph.D. in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota, alongside advanced degrees from UC Irvine, including an M.A. in Demography and a B.A. in Criminology, Law & Society, and Psychology and Social Behavior.
