Tom Nettell

Tom Nettell has over 25 years of experience in the software industry. Tom is currently the CTO and Co-Founder at TwinThread, a company that specializes in predictive applications for the process manufacturing industry.

Prior to founding TwinThread, Tom was with GE Intelligent Platforms, where they served as the Plant Apps Development Lead. In this role, they were responsible for predicting sales and marketing outcomes that dramatically improve business performance.

Before GE, Tom was the Co-founder & CTO at Alpine Metrics, a company they started in 1996 that created the Proficy MES and Proficy Theirtorian product lines. In 2003, Alpine Metrics was acquired by General Electric.

Tom’s career began at Champion International Paper, where they worked as a System Engineer from 1990 to 1995.

Tom Nettell studied mathematics and computer science at Northern Michigan University.
