Austin Hsiao

Austin Hsiao is a seasoned professional in the field of bioengineering with extensive experience at Twist Bioscience since October 2014, progressing from Process Engineer to Senior Director of Systems Engineering. Key accomplishments include leading teams in process and automation engineering to ensure optimal production instrument uptime, developing the first integrated system for high-throughput next generation sequencing library preparation, and implementing equipment qualification and maintenance procedures compliant with ISO9001 and ISO13485 standards. Prior to Twist Bioscience, Austin Hsiao contributed to innovative research in nanostructure sensors and microfluidic devices during academic tenure at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where a Ph.D. in Bioengineering was earned, complemented by a Master's degree in the same field and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.
