Nina Garcia

Nina Garcia is a seasoned creative professional with extensive experience in design and visual communication. Currently serving as Creative Director + Designer at Nina Garcia Design since January 2014 and as Sr Staff Visual Designer at Twist Bioscience since October 2025, Nina has held various significant roles in leading creative teams, including positions at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. from February 2021 to October 2025, where responsibilities included staff brand, product, and experiential design, as well as senior art direction. Entrepreneurial experience is demonstrated through ownership of Houseplanty from December 2017 to January 2022. Additional roles span across design, tutoring, project management, and administrative support, highlighting a diverse skill set. Nina holds a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Colorado Boulder.
