Simon Askew is a seasoned professional in the food and beverage industry with extensive experience in sales and account management. Currently serving as New Business Account Manager at Twist Teas since March 2022, Simon has also held the position of National Account Sales Manager at Sampan Foods from August 2016 and is a Director at The Food Consultant since January 2016. Previous roles include Head of Project Management at Smallford Farm Shop and Head of Sales and Marketing at The Deli Station Ltd. Simon's career began at Sainsbury's as Senior Trading Manager, later progressing through key positions at Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Warwick, completed between 1992 and 1996, and attended Banbury School from 1986 to 1988.

Twist Teas was established in 2017 by Claire Ayres, a lawyer, her mother, Nicky Kavanaugh, a project manager and their friend Fraser Tant, an experienced Food & Beverage marketer. The mission? To make Twist Teas the conscious choice for contemporary tea lovers globally. All of Twist Teas’ teas are hand-blended in the UK, ethically sourced whole-leaf ingredients, and packed in plastic-free and sustainable Forest Council Approved packaging. The tea bags and string are made from corn silk, a completely natural product, with strings and label attached by an ultra-sound process so no glue is used.
