Jon Alderink

Jon Alderink has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Freelance Cartoonist and Illustrator since November 2003. Jon then worked as a Color Artist for various comic publishers such as Marvel Entertainment, DC Comics, and Image Comics between 2010 and 2016. In 2013, Jon briefly worked as a Storyboard Artist for Fubble Entertainment. From 2015 to 2016, they worked specifically for Image Comics as a Color Artist.

Jon also has experience as a Web Developer at YAC Social in 2017, where they built and maintained websites while integrating them with social media marketing modules. In 2018, they joined SDI Clarity as an Experience Designer and Developer, responsible for creating engaging e-learning courses and designing marketing materials. Jon also provided UI and UX design for their internal course builder tool.

Since 2010, Jon has been associated with Kendall College of Art and Design, where they held roles such as Adjunct Instructor, Continuing Studies Teacher, and Digital Media Tutor. During their time there, they instructed and assisted students with digital media-related queries, created tutorials for the Digital Learning Center website, and designed signage for the Hub and Digital Learning Center.

Most recently, Jon has started working at Twisthink in 2022 as a UI Designer II, specializing in designing interfaces for IoT products and complex web applications. Jon focuses on utilizing best UX practices and human-centered design principles to create intentional and impactful designs, always advocating for the end-users of these digital products.

Jon Alderink obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media from Kendall College of Art and Design, which they attended from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2003, they attended The Kubert School, where they focused on Cartooning. Additionally, Jon attended the Joe Kubert Art School, specializing in Cartooning, although the specific start and end years for this education are not provided.
