Matt Leung

Matt Leung is a Software Engineering Manager currently leading the Proactive Safety ML team at Twitch since November 2023. Prior to this role, Matt served as a Software Engineering Manager at Tigera from June 2017 to November 2023, contributing to the development of Calico Cloud for Kubernetes security and observability. As a Core Developer for Project Calico during the same period, Matt played a key role in creating a widely adopted Kubernetes networking solution. Earlier experience includes positions as a Backend Software Engineer at Kiip, a Software Application Engineer at Workday, and research and technical internships at UC Berkeley and Northrop Grumman. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
